Whitney Houston – Stars Death Propels Popularity Of Website Skyward

Following the tragic death of pop sensation Whitney Houston in February, the singers official website has increased exponentially in popularity.

Following the death of Ms. Whitney Houston, her official website quickly felt the strain of millions of fans and curious internet users flooding to her site.  Alexa.com, a leading website traffic analyst, has shown a 1620% increase in the sites 3-month popularity.

Due to the extreme demand, the website was limited to a condolence page, partly powered by Facebook, which allowed fans to leave their messages for Ms. Houston and her family.

Recently the full website has been brought back online and although the peak in demand has already subsided, the site is still seeing a hike from its usual traffic.

The “How Will I Know” singer propelled to superstardom in the 80’s and 90’s and also branched out into acting, performing in the box office hit “The Bodyguard” alongside co star Kevin Costner.

Following a marriage to RnB bad boy, Bobby Brown, the singer quickly went in to decline and never managed to regain the same status that she originally enjoyed.

DPS Computing would like to offer its condolences to Whitney Houston’s family at what must be a very difficult time.

  • These big companies can run, but they can't hide. People are starting to realise how CORRUPT these b**tards are. Press companies, media companies, etc. Some of them are an utter sham.

  • Indeed, it was very sad to see Sony do this - although they claim that it was an error on there part and that it was not intentional - although I'm not sure how much I (and everyone else) believes this. I believe that they reversed the price increase after outrage from fans.

Yeah, it is very sad to see that they tried to capitalise in such a way on such a tragic event. Her fall from grace was spectacular and in the public eye. A very sad thing to see and watch happen to such a magnificent talent.

  • Indeed, very sad but I guess thats the way they work - not that that is necessarily a good thing! :(.
