BTBT has unveiled another upgrade to its broadband network that now sees around 2.5 million homes gain access to super fast 100 MBp/s broadband connections.  BT hopes that by 2012 the company will have extended the capabilities of this connection to around 10 million British homes.

BT appears to be stepping up the game to try to compete with Virgin Media – one of its main competitors who currently offers 50MB broadband connections to around 12.5 million homes.
